Brand Story

What do you own? What do you take with you?

The fashion industry has had many cycles; from loin cloths to chains to leather. There have been many moments in fashion history where trends have come and gone, and often repeated themselves due to changes inside and outside of our control. It is the latter that has inspired the identity behind campstreet.world.

When the Fashion Industry's time has come to an end, what will come of the art and pollution we have created? Will we trade our jewels for the treasures of preservation? Will we learn the true meaning of camoflauge? How will we move in the world we have destroyed? The existential question that campstreet.world plans to answer is this: What lessons will we bring back from fashion to aid in our future survival? Each collection will serve as a glimpse into the dystopian possibilities of our future and our wardrobe.

This idea brings a duality to the brand; what parts of who we were then, is still reflected in who we have to be now? In life and death, luxury and survival, camp and street. The first half of the duality being Camp; here we see two definitions fighting for the spotlight. To survive nature or to thrive in surrealism until we fall? Both being the right answer. This half of the brand identity shows how being "down to earth" can also be extravagant, with Mother nature being the original designer and key inspiration.

The second half of the brands duality lives in the silhouettes of the garments; Street. Streetwear, street style, not just for comfort, but as a means of personal, social, and political expression. How we see and present ourselves has been the cornerstone of fashion since before it had a definition, but streetwear hasn't always been an acceptable form of it. And in this dystopian existence, campstreet.world serves as both art and function, right and wrong, war and warning.
